MUSICAL SKETCH ENTITLED, 'ANAKKU...DENGGI'

Objective : To create awareness on the symptoms of dengue fever and the importance of its preventions

Date : 22 October 2015 (Thursday)

Time : 12.00 Pm - 2.00 Pm

Participants : 17 students of Form 5 and Form 6 and 12 member of Dengue Busters

The musical sketch was performed during the Dengue Buster Alley opening ceremony and was witnessed by more than 400 students from form 1, 2 and 3, teachers and staff. It was about Amir a student who suffered dengue fever at his school dormitory. His parents were so worried about his condition.

Later at his dorm, his friends noticed his awkward well being so they decided to cheer him up and remind him about the fever he was suffering by singing him a song.

DENGUE BUSTER ALLEY OPENING CEREMONY

Objective : To launch the Dengue Buster Alley

Date : 22 October 2015 (Thursday)

Time : 12.00 Pm - 2.00 Pm

Participants : Form 1-3 students, teacher, staff, SMK Padang Piol Principal, SMK Sungai Retang Principal and District Education Officer; En Bahari bin Mat.

The opening ceremony of Dengue Buster Alley took place on October 22, 2015 at 12.00 pm at SMK Jerantut canteen. The opening ceremony was officiated by Jerantut District Education Officer, En Bahari bin Mat.

The first agenda was video viewing of all the activities carried out during the Dengue Patrol Programme. A compilation of videos and photos, the Dengue Busters carried out their Gotong-royong, Flyers ditribution, making of the alley and launching event.

The next agenda was a speech by our school principal. Tuan Hj. Abdul Rafid expressed his satisfaction over the achievement perfomed by all Dengue Busters and Coordinators. Great effort from great mind were combined to make this Dengue Patrol Programme a success. He truly hoped that the major project; the Dengue Buster Alley would become an inspiration to all school members. Informatively and creatively set up, the alley promised all visitors information and knowledge on the cause of dengue fever and its prevention.

Later, our Jerantut District Education Officer deliver his speech and launched the ceremony. He placed high hopes for the victory of the Dengue Busters's efforts. Then, all the VIPs were invited to tour the alley. 

 

Impressed by highly creative makeover, En Bahari left his hand print and signature on the wet cement as a mark of officiating the ceremony. Along with the act, he was awarded the Highest Title in the Dengue Buster Team and was presented the official Dengue Buster Vest.

 

The next agenda was a Sketch entitled, 'Anakku...Denggi'. Perfomed by the Form 5 and Form 6 students and 12 Dengue Buster team, they succeded in conveying the important message of the dangerous of Aedes. 

The final event was the prize giving ceremony for 3 competition; the Poster Drawing Contest, Essay Writing Contest and Scrapbook Competition. And as token of appreciation, our District Education Officer was presented a gift for his tremendous support towards The Dengue Buster Patrol Programme 2015.

MAKING DENGUE BUSTER VEST

Objective : To establish Dengue Buster team

Date : 7 - 12 October 2015

Participants : Dengue Buster

In the second meeting, the programme coordinator decided to involve a group of students in the dengue patrol programme. 40 students  were selected and the coordinator named them The Dengue Buster. The team consisted of Form 1 to Form 4 students. The student were selected by the programme coordinator. The Dengue Buster consist of students and 20 teachers who is programme coordinator. To differentiate the Dengue Buster from other student, we manage to design the Dengue Buster Vest. The vest will be used by the Dengue Buster in all activities during the programme.
